Eastern Plays publishes independent coverage of Western businesses operating in Asia: supplier sourcing, cross-border shipping, tariffs and customs, quality control, offshore teams. This page sets out every commercial relationship that could reasonably affect how you read it — who pays us, how paid links are marked, and what those arrangements are not allowed to buy.

Some links may be sponsored. Our editors choose what we cover, and nothing here is legal or customs advice.
That statement applies to everything published at easternplays.com, in every format, whether or not an individual piece repeats it.

Paid and affiliate links
Eastern Plays currently runs no affiliate links and no sponsored placements. Outbound links on this site are editorial: we link to a source because it is the best evidence for the claim we just made, and we are paid nothing when you follow one.
If that changes, every paid or affiliate link will be marked where it appears, will carry the appropriate link attribute, and this page will be updated before the first one runs.
- Sponsored link
- A link Eastern Plays was paid to carry. Marked in the text where it appears and tagged rel="sponsored".
- Affiliate link
- A link that may earn us a commission if you buy something. Marked the same way, and the price you pay is unaffected.
- Editorial link
- An unpaid link to a source, document, or product we chose to point at. The default on easternplays.com, and never marked as commercial.

What money does not buy
No commercial relationship decides whether Eastern Plays covers a topic, who we assign it to, or what we conclude about it. No sponsor, advertiser, or affiliate partner sees a piece before it publishes, and none of them can have a published piece altered or taken down because they dislike it.
A product we earn a commission on gets the same scrutiny as one we do not, and a critical conclusion about a commercial partner runs exactly as written. Where Eastern Plays cannot cover something in Western businesses operating in Asia: supplier sourcing, cross-border shipping, tariffs and customs, quality control, offshore teams without a conflict we cannot disclose our way out of, we do not cover it.
